New York City Mayor Eric Adams went viral for all the wrong reasons on Thursday after he seemed to call Yankee Stadium “Yankee Park” during a guest appearance on the YES Network broadcast of the Yankees season opener.

Adams was heavily trolled by New Yorkers and baseball fans after the clip made its rounds, and despite Boomer insisting that he deserved a pass, Gio wasn’t backing down.

“I am 40 years old going on 41. I have been watching baseball since I can remember. I have never once, in my life…have I heard anybody call Yankee Stadium ‘Yankee Park,’ not one time,” Gio said. “And the mayor of New York City calls it ‘Yankee Park?’

“This guy better get his ducks in a row.”

Boomer brought up how much is on a mayor’s plate, but Gio insisted that it doesn’t excuse misnaming once of the most recognizable stadiums in all of sports.

“Forget about the politician side of it for a second,” Gio said. “There are people who don’t watch baseball at all who understand that it’s Yankee Stadium.

“He didn’t make a mistake. He didn’t know. That’s what I think...how could the mayor of New York City not know that Yankee Stadium is Yankee Stadium?”
