‘Creed III’ actor Jonathan Majors says he’s ‘completely innocent’ in domestic violence case

Jonathan Majors, the “Creed III” actor who was arrested in New York after allegedly choking his girlfriend during a domestic dispute, is “completely innocent” and actually the victim, his attorney said Sunday.

“We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently,” Priya Chaudhry, Majors’ criminal defense lawyer, said in a statement.

“This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations,” Chaudhry’s statement continued, adding that Majors’ girlfriend was having an “emotional crisis” for which she was hospitalized.

Police arrested the 33-year-old Marvel star at about 11: 15 a.m. Saturday in a Chelsea apartment near West 22nd Street and 8th Avenue after officers responded to a 911 call.

Cops determined Majors had been in a domestic dispute with an unnamed 30-year-old woman who sources say was his girlfriend.

The girlfriend, who told authorities she’d been assaulted, had minor injuries to her head and neck.

Cops brought her to the hospital and arrested Majors without incident.

Majors was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court later Saturday on six counts of third-degree assault, three counts of third degree attempted assault and two counts of harassment.

A judge released Majors on his own recognizance and told him to come back to court May 8.

TMZ said the Emmy-nominated actor got into an argument with his girlfriend during the taxi ride home from a Brooklyn bar. She confronted him when she found another woman texting him, sources told the outlet.

He got upset, then allegedly grabbed her hand and slapped her, TMZ said.

The woman also claims Majors put his hands around her neck, according to TMZ. They spent the night apart before she called police in the morning.
