Suspect slaps woman's head, steals AirPods at Harlem subway station: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Friday released a photo of a suspect
wanted for slapping a woman then stealing her headphones at a Harlem subway station earlier this week, authorities said.

The incident happened on Tuesday, March 14, at approximately 2 p.m., when an 18-year-old woman was approached by the suspect who slapped her in the head while she was standing on the platform West 135th Street subway station on the C and B line.

After being struck, the victim's Apple AirPods fell to the ground, at which time the suspects picked them up and fled out of the subway station, officials said.

The victim did not sustain any injury as a result of this incident.

The suspect was last seen wearing a tan jacket, a light gray hooded sweatshirt and light gray sweat pants.
