Rocco’s Steakhouse is a popular steakhouse based out of the Flatiron District that is known for serving up prime steaks and chops that are dry-aged on-site. The restaurant was established by owner Rocco Trotta in 2015, who partnered with Pete Pjetrovic, Jeff Kolenovic, Henry Doda, and Chef Johhny Jevric to provide patrons with world-class service and impeccable quality in the finest wines, steaks, and seafood that New York has to offer. Rocco recruited many of his staff, including Jevric and Doda, from Wolfgang’s Steakhouse on Park Avenue, assembling a team with collective decades of experience in the fine dining scene.

After launching in 2015, Rocco’s quickly found itself earning wide critical acclaim. Serving over 100 unique wines from California, France, and Italy, Rocco’s is now recognized by many as one of the neighborhood’s top spots for a romantic dinner, power lunch, and family celebrations. Today, after nearly eight years of successful operation at 72 Madison Avenue, the team is now getting ready to launch their first-ever expansion in a brand-new location.

Rocco and his team have just secured the space for their second steakhouse to date, which will be opening sometime this year at 100 East 57th Street, in the Dorchester Building. The location was formerly home to BLT Steak, another popular steakhouse that sadly shut its doors a few months ago. While BLT Steak sadly closed its Dorchester location for good, they still operate a successful New York restaurant on Lexington Avenue called BLT Prime that is still going strong.

According to the New York Post, the location offers 3,500 square feet of space on the ground floor, 1,350 square feet on the lower level, and 600 square feet on the mezzanine for a private dining room. In total, the new location is expected to be able to seat an estimated total of 175 guests inside at one time. Asking rent for the space was $200 per square foot, which CBRE’s Jared Lack described as a “very fair number” though “definitely less than prices were 10 years ago.” For more updates as the story develops, you can follow Rocco’s Steakhouse on Instagram.
