Local college coach earns major milestone

NEW WILMINGTON , Pa (WKBN) – Westminster College Softball head coach Jan Reddinger recorded her 700th victory in the Titan’s 11-0 win against Chatham Thursday, April 25.

Westminster completed a sweep of Chatham with the win, winning the first game of the doubleheader 3-2, early Thursday afternoon.

According to Westminster athletics, Reddinger is the 16th active NCAA Division III coach to reach 700 career wins.

She has coached the Titans for 28 seasons with 644 of her wins coming at Westminster.

The remaining 56 wins came at the helm at La Roche University from 1992-1996.

The Titans are currently on a 5-game win streak with an overall record of 21-9. Westminster is also first place in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference with a record of 14-4.

Westminster gets back to action in a regular season finale against Waynesburg on Saturday, Apr. 26 at 1 p.m.
