3 dead, one critical after group overdoses in New Rochelle: police

Three people are dead and one person is in critical condition after overdosing in New Rochelle on Saturday afternoon, police said.

New Rochelle Police received a call around 2:45 p.m. from a man reporting that he and three other unresponsive males he was with were possibly overdosing on drugs, police said in a statement.

The caller was “disoriented” and was unable to tell police where he was at the time, cops said.

Dispatchers were able to ping the man’s cell phone and tracked his location to 50 Fountain Place.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the caller and the three others unresponsive in a storage room in the rear of the building, police said.

The three males were pronounced dead at the scene. The caller was transported by EMS to an area hospital in critical condition, according to police.

The names of the caller and the deceased are being withheld pending family notification, cops said.
