A woman is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection with the deadly shooting that happened during a fight in an Algiers park.

New Orleans police arrested Nayiondra Woolridge on Wednesday in the shooting death of Brittany Ussin. In addition to the murder charge, Woolridge faces two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of simple battery. According to the Orleans Parish Prison inmate roster, Woolridge also has an outstanding warrant in Jefferson Parish for simple criminal damage to property.

According to investigators, the shooting happened after two women met at McDonough Park near the corner Ptolemy and Teche Streets to fight each other.
