New London, Conn./WTIC Radio - Several schools in New London went into lockdown today following reports of a shooting.
Police say they were alerted just after 11:00 a.m. to a shooting in the area of Hempstead and Franklin Streets.
A man was seen running from the area after shooting at a vehicle, police said.
Evidence was collected from the scene but no arrests have been made.
The lockdown was lifted about an hour later.
No injuries were reported.
