Frenship Tigers shut out Rio Rancho Cleveland 35-0
The Frenship Tigers beat the Rio Rancho Cleveland Storm 35-0 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico to remain undefeated. The Tigers took control from the get-go, getting across the goal line on each of their first three drives, and Frenship led after the 1st quarter 21-0. The defense took care of the rest, and the clock rolled through the rest of the game starting late in the 3rd quarter once the Tigers went up 35-0, per Federation rules.

MEADOW, Texas (NEWS RELEASE) - Due to a drop in Disinfectant Levels, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the City of Meadow (PWS 2230002) public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). The City of Lubbock closed three out of the four pools this Summer due to some repairs that were needing to be made but were too extreme. There were talks of splash pads to replace those pools that needed the repairs and more details were revealed via social media along with design concepts. So while Summer is coming to an end and we get ready for those splash pads we can still enjoy the fruits of the Summer, or at least September. It seems to be that middle season where it's not yet Summer or Fall but instead when Summer and Fall just meet each other and with that comes all the amazing fruit and vegetables that were grown. There is certain produce that is better harvested in September compared to other months.

Unpaid Car Payment Dispute Results in Stabbing in Lubbock; Two Arrested
An unpaid car payment dispute in Lubbock, Texas resulted in a stabbing, leaving one person seriously injured. Police reported this as the city’s third recent stabbing case. The incident took place near the 136th and University area. Soon after, suspects Tony Moreno, 47, and Allison Paige Moreno were arrested. They are now in police custody for their alleged involvement.

The Dimmitt Bobcats were defeated by the Brownfield Cubs, 47-29. Dimmitt came in with 11 first downs, 91 passing yards, 84 passing yards and five penalties for 35 yards. Passing leaders were Jack Lunsford with nine completions of 16 attempts for 65 yards and one touchdown; Xaden Vargas with four completions for 10 attempts for 26 yards.
