1 dead, 4 injured in New Haven crash

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — One person died, and four were injured in a three-car crash Wednesday night in New Haven.

New Haven police responded to the crash involving three Honda Accords at the intersection of Ella T. Grasso Boulevard and Washington Avenue just after 7:30 p.m.

Police said Jazy White, 42, of New Haven, was taken to a hospital, where they died. Authorities said four others were taken to the hospital, including one for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Two of the cars T-boned each other and then hit a third car, police said.

Investigators are searching for video surveillance footage that may have captured what occurred before and at the time of impact.
