Rutgers football recruiting: Evan Taylor locks in an official visit

Class of 2024 recruit Evan Taylor has an official visit lined up in early June for Rutgers football. This comes just days after Taylor was offered by Rutgers.

Taylor is a 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver and safety from Cuthbertson High School (Waxhaw, NC).

In May alone was offered by Florida Atlantic, Brown, Ohio and Charlotte. Rutgers came in last week followed by Nebraska.

In March, his first offer came in from East Carolina.

In two seasons as a safety, Taylor has 31 total tackles with five interceptions. He was offered by Rutgers as a defensive back.

Over the weekend, Taylor announced on social media that he will be visiting Rutgers:

 

Rutgers currently has eight commitments in the class of 2024. One of the most recent commits, Isaiah Crumpler, is a four star recruit from North Carolina.

According to On3, Crumpler is the fifth-best player this recruiting class in North Carolina.

The Rutgers recruiting class is currently top 30 in the nation according to 247Sports.
