Nevada gaming win rises in April, hits 26th straight $1 billion month

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
Nevada casinos are still on a hot streak.

The state's nonrestricted gaming licenses reported a total gaming win of almost $1.16 billion for the month of April, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
That's up 2.77% compared to April a year ago, per the Control Board's figures.

It's also the 26th consecutive month that casinos in Nevada have surpassed $1 billion in win revenue.
On the Las Vegas Strip, casinos had a gaming win of $624.7 million, up more than 5% from the year-ago month.
Downtown Las Vegas casinos saw the biggest jump in Clark County, up nearly 10.6% to almost $74.5 million.

Nevada ultimately collected $67.46 million in percentage fees based on taxable revenue from April, the Control Board says.
