    Agriculture event at Twin Arrows Feb. 20

    The Navajo Nation Department of Agriculture will host the first Winter Agriculture Expo Series Session at Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort Feb. 20. The Expo will focus on the Agriculture Infrastructure Funds, including the Farm and Garden Incentives, Livestock Management Incentives, and project proposals. The expo will continue around the Navajo Nation in upcoming weeks:

    • Feb. 27 - Dine College, Tsaile
    • March 5 - Nenahnezad Multipurpose Building
    • March 12 - Navajo Technical University, Crownpoint, N.M.

    Holbrook Head Start hiring event Feb. 21

    Head Start will be holding a hiring event Feb. 21 from 3-6 p.m. During the event visitors will be able to talk with the Head Start team, learn more about career opportunities and apply on the spot. The event takes place at Holbrook Head Start Center, 165 W. Arizona.

    Snotty Nose Rez Kids performs Feb. 21

    Snotty Nose Rez Kids is a Haisla Hip-Hop duo from Kitimat, BC, composed of rappers Yung Trybez & Young D. Formed in 2016, the group released back-to-back albums in 2017. They will be at Yucca North in Flagstaff Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.

    Change Labs Seminar Feb. 22

    USDA Rural Development Home Loans

    Many Farms Chapter House will be taking applications for rural home loans Feb. 14 and 28, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. There are requirements for applicants, must bring certain documents. Call (928) 781-3608 for more information.

    Heard Museum Indian Fair & Market March 2-3

    The Heard Museum in Phoenix is having its 66th annual American Indian Fair March 2-3 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is one of the largest American Indian art markets in the world and draws nearly 15,000 visitors and more than 600 of the Nation’s most preeminent American Indian artists. Meet and purchase art directly from multiple generations of artists working in all forms of the visual arts. All proceeds from ticket sales support the Heard Museum’s mission of advancing American Indian art.

    Free Tax Help in Sheep Springs

    The Tooh' Haltsooi council of Naataanii (Sheep Spring) Chapter is offering free in-person income tax preperation services. Mondays only from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., no appointment needed. This is through AARP, open to anyone but especially ages 50+ and those that can't afford paid tax prep.

    HSAPC in Person Meetings

    A 12-step support meeting will be held at the HOPI Substance Abuse Prevention Center every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at noon. More information is available at (928) 734-0300.
