Viewers share images, videos of storm damage from Monday’s severe weather
We had a ton of severe storms Monday afternoon, and we even had some Tornado Warnings pop up. Per the National Weather Services (NWS) Nashville, we did have two radar confirmed tornadoes, one in Wilson County and one in De Kalb County. Officials will go out to survey the damage Tuesday.
New safety improvements planned for Old Hickory Boulevard
HERMITAGE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Nashville Department of Transportation is working to make one of the area’s most dangerous stretches of road safer. A new plan, approved by Metro Council Tuesday night, would focus on Old Hickory Boulevard in the Hermitage area. The 3.2 mile stretch between Bell Road and Wright Avenue was identified as a critical segment due to a high number of severe crashes, according to NDOT.
