Lainey Wilson Announces Opening Date For Her Downtown Nashville Bar, Bell Bottoms Up

Didn't waste any time getting all the Florida Georgia Line stuff off the wall. Just a couple of weeks ago, FGL House closed with no notice or announcement. Of course it wasn't a total surprise considering the downtown Nashville bar was named after Florida Georgia Line, and the bro country duo split up last year and
don't exactly seem to be on good terms right now. But with the closing of FGL House comes the opportunity for yet another artist-themed bar in Music City. It's the circle of life for the tourist trap bars...when one closes another one comes along right behind it to take its place. Lather, rinse the Fireball and vomit stains off the floor, repeat. And after FGL House closed, we quickly found out which country artist would be replacing them: The Queen of Bell Bottom Country, and reigning Entertainer of the Year at both the CMA Awards AND now the ACM Awards too, Lainey Wilson . Lainey announced back on May 7 that she would be opening up her own bar in the space formerly occupied by FGL House, which is on Third Avenue just off Broadway in downtown Music City. The new bar will be named Bell Bottoms Up, and like FGL House (RIP) before it, will be a partnership with TC Restaurant Group, the hospitality company that also has bars like Luke's 32 Bridge, Jason Aldean's Kitchen & Rooftop Bar, Miranda Lambert's Casa Rosa, and Morgan Wallen's This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen. (In case you aren't aware how most of these Nashville bars work, the artists they're named after don't actually own the bars. They simply license their name to these hospitality corporations, which makes it easy for groups like TC to just change the theme of the bar and the name on the door to a different artist if they need to). According to
Billboard , the bar will feature two stages, four bars, and: “A mezzanine floor featuring a bar lounge overlooking the first-floor stage and a dining area. The rooftop level will be home to a 1970s western-inspired aesthetic, with a dance floor, disco-inspired decor and frozen drinks. Guests will also get a look at Wilson’s Louisiana roots through a basement-level space set to open this summer, which will include craft cocktails and a live music space.” And now, less than a month after FGL House closed its doors, we already have an opening date. Lainey announced on her social media that Bell Bottoms Up will open its doors on May 31, which is obviously a pretty quick turnaround. That means that they probably didn't do any major renovations on the space other than replacing the decor to fit the new theme and change the signs out front. https://twitter.com/laineywilson/status/1792700915377721420 Of course, there's a good reason they likely hurried to get it open by then: Lainey will be kicking off her
Country's Cool Again tour with a show at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville, just a few blocks from her new bar, the same night that Bell Bottoms Up will be opening to the public. So if you're going to be in town for the show, looks like you know where the after party's going to be.
