It seems the Tennessee Vols have a few more believers among oddsmakers than they do in the media.

FanDuel Sportsbook released their national championship odds for all teams in the Sweet 16, and the Vols check in at a healthy fifth of all sixteen teams.

The top three are no surprise, as the top seeded UConn Huskies have been the heavy favorite all along.  One seed Houston could get a solid challenge from Duke, who's looked good so far this tournament.  Fellow one seed Purdue has the same odds at +550, who faces a Gonzaga team that dispatched of Kansas in a big way in the Round of 32.  Arizona gets Clemson before a possible matchup with Alabama or UNC.

Those are the only four teams with better odds than the Vols, who are going off at 11 to 1 (+1100) to win it all.  Interestingly enough, North Carolina (+1300) has worse odds than both the lower-seeded Vols and Arizona Wildcats, the latter of whom are in their same region.

Tennessee didn't receive such high acclaim from a number of members of the media in their power rankings.  Long-time analyst Andy Katz had the Vols at 11 of 16 teams .  On3 Sports' Jamie Shaw has the Vols tenth .  Fox Sports' John Fanta has Tennessee as eight .

As such, while the opinions vary on Tennessee, it seems that the outlook isn't as rosy among writers and analysts as it as from the experts setting the game odds.  Tennessee fans will find out soon enough which was closer to being correct when the Vols and Creighton Blue Jays tip off from Detroit, Michigan after 10:00 pm ET on Friday night in the Midwest Regional semifinal.
