There haven’t been too many major restaurant closures over the last several months, which is a good sign for the rebounding industry. Of course, with all the major events running through greater Phoenix since the beginning of the year (basically starting with the College Football Playoff game on New Year's Eve and continuing through much of the calendar year thus far), there has been a solid influx of outsider money coming in to help sustain restaurants. With the summer months right around the corner, fewer residents will be out and about. While summer is often the busiest time of year for other parts of the country, the incredible heat, not to mention snowbirds leaving for the season, makes it one of the low points in terms of sales. Due to this, you will begin seeing a number of restaurants calling it quits now. That includes one metro Phoenix burger joint.
