The Catskills are filled with Airbnb and Vrbo rentals waiting to be stayed in. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway, or even a staycation, finding accommodations in the mountains might be the most affordable and most convenient way. One cabin, designed with a modern and rustic feel, was named as “a favorite” by Conde Nast Traveler.
The Airbnb, listed as Cabin Blhues, is described as a wooded retreat with a hot tub. Located 2.5 hours away from New York City, the rental property is between the Catskill and the Pocono mountains in a town called Narrowsburg.
“Don’t let this place fool you—from the outside it might appear small, but inside it’s incredibly spacious for a single-level home,” Conde Nast Traveler says. The rental is a spacious three bedroom cabin with four beds and two baths — with enough space for six guests.
As you walk in, you’re welcomed into the living room. It features an open layout full of bright colors and a welcoming atmosphere. “As design-forward as this place is with its fun pops of color and unique furniture pieces, it still manages to feel homey. When you first step inside, you’ll see the colorful living room with a comfortable couch, large smart TV, and plenty of games,” Conde Nast Traveler reports.
The next room is a full kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a large table big enough to seat six comfortably. Conde Nast Traveler adds that plenty of natural light comes in to the space and adds to the homey-feel of the Airbnb.
Each bedroom has its own theme and feeling. The primary bedroom has its own workspace, a secondary room has a trundle bed and a kid-like environment and the third has a boho chic design, according to the listing. Each bathroom includes a shower and all the essentials needed.
Once you step through the sliding glass doors onto the deck, guests are greeted by a grill and stepping stones that make the path to the floating patio which holds a hot tub and outdoor dining.
“Cabin Blhues really felt like home,” Conde Nast Traveler said. “Whether you want an easy city escape or are a nature lover looking for a woodsy cabin, this cozy home is the perfect place to stay.”
The rental, listed at $159 per night, is available year round. To read the reviews or book Cabin Blhues, check out the complete listing on Airbnb.
