Jackson School of the Arts hosting annual fairy festival
JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - The Jackson School of the Arts is hosting a fairy festival on Saturday. The Jackson School of the Arts holds the fairy festival every year. According to the school, there will be magical activities and crafts inspired by child-like imaginations. The fun kicks off on April 20 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the school, which is located on W Cortland Street in Downtown Jackson.

Former Marino’s Pizza property targeted to become community park outside Jackson
JACKSON COUNTY, MI – Plans are in the works to transform the former Marino’s Pizza property in Blackman Township into a community park. In a Monday, April 15 meeting, the township’s Board of Trustees presented plans to revamp the land behind the former restaurant at 1980 W. Parnall Road into a more suitable use for residents. The township purchased the 18.5-acre property for $1.2 million in February 2023 to convert the building into a temporary public safety office.
