Officials are warning Mainers to exercise caution as the state braces for heat indices of up to 110 degrees in some areas Wednesday through Friday. “Everyone should have a plan to stay cool during periods of extreme heat,” said Maine Emergency Management Agency Director Pete Rogers. “Limit strenuous outdoor activities, take frequent breaks, stay hydrated, and seek air conditioning inside or shade outside whenever possible.
