His past work includes the restoration of Oak Hill Country Club’s East Course, which recently hosted the 2023 PGA Championship. Green has been onsite at Grey Oaks overseeing the course renovation, which began in February and is expected to end in July.
Grey Oaks Country Club in Naples, Fla., is working with Andrew Green, renowned golf course restoration specialist and industry-leading golf architect, to renovate its Pine Course.
The Pine Course has been a premium, foundational feature of Grey Oaks’ golf experience for 30 years, and for many members, the Pine is their favorite course. As every golf course has a lifespan, Grey Oaks identified the need to renovate the Pine Course to add tees, improve bunkers, widen fairways and create larger greens, all to help improve the aesthetics of the course, assist with course maintenance and elevate the overall golf experience for its membership.
After a comprehensive review process in 2019, Grey Oaks selected Andrew Green to lead the Pine Course renovation. His extensive experience and credentials are evidenced in his body of work, which includes the restoration of Oak Hill Country Club’s East Course, which recently hosted the 2023 PGA Championship, where players and officials alike shared rave reviews about the course design.
Green has been onsite at Grey Oaks overseeing the course renovation, which began in February and is expected to end in July. After the grow-in period is completed from August to November 2023, the course is anticipated to reopen for play.
The renovation is adding several new features with fresh and thoughtful options for enhancing strategic play, course character and an exceptional member experience.
In 2022, the club completed enhancements to its short game area, also designed by Green, to provide more practice simulation for shot-making, instruction and simultaneous practice use, including Inrange® technology.
Grey Oaks Country Club serves the Grey Oaks and Estuary communities, members from Moorings Park at Grey Oaks and non-resident club members. It has been designated a Platinum Club® by Club Leaders Forum, Distinguished Club by BoardRoom magazine, Florida Golf Course of the Year by the National Golf Course Association. Amenities include three championship golf courses, a 30,000-sq.-ft. state-of-the-art wellness center, two clubhouses, tennis, pickleball, bocce, and a resort-style pool.
