Over 200 Attend Napavine Scholarship Foundation Annual Dinner and Auction

More than 200 Napavine community members attended the Napavine Scholarship Foundation’s annual dinner and auction on Friday, March 17.

Featuring a performance from the Napavine High School Jazz Band and catering by Bonanza BBQ, the event hosted Napavine community members in the Napavine High School gym to raise money for the foundation’s scholarship fund.

The money raised during this year’s dinner auction and the subsequent online Facebook auction will benefit Napavine High School’s graduating senior class.

“We owe a debt of gratitude to all of the school staff, students and other community members that made this possible,” said the foundation in a Facebook post after Friday’s event.

Lewis County Fire District 5’s duty crew was among the Napavine community members who attended Friday’s event.

“The fire staff always enjoys the opportunity to get together with its citizens on a positive note,” the district wrote in an email to The Chronicle. “Together, Napavine's citizens, businesses and the Napavine High School Scholarship Foundation created a great event.”

The foundation’s online Facebook auction was open until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22.

The highest bidders will be notified on March 23 and all auction items must be picked up and paid for at Napavine High School on March 25.
