A man ended up in handcuffs after allegedly swiping a van from a business in Benicia's Industrial Park. Benicia Police reported an employee alerted them on Monday morning about the missing company vehicle. Petaluma Police Arrest Six DUI Drivers During Patrol Saturday Night
Six drivers are facing DUI charges after being arrested in Petaluma. Four Petaluma police officers on “DUI Saturation Patrol” made the arrests in a seven-and-a-half-hour span between Saturday night and early Sunday morning. Police say three of the drivers had a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit. Another suspect, who is 20-years-old, was allegedly drinking an alcoholic beverage while driving.

Woman from Reno Identified as Fatality in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Lakeville Highway
The woman who died in a three-vehicle crash outside of Petaluma has been identified. On November 21st, 77-year-old Kathleen Swenson of Reno, Nevada was a passenger in an SUV going south on Lakeville Highway just south of Old Lakeville Road. A pick up truck going the same direction veered into the opposite lane and crashed into another truck. As a result, that truck went into the southbound lane and hit the SUV that Swenson was in. Swenson died in the crash. The driver of the first truck, Maria Sebastian, was charged with driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.

⚠️Theft of Donations from Disabled American Vets at Hercules Waterfront
On the morning of December 1, 2023, there was a report of theft at Hercules Waterfront, Hercules, California. A female suspect was seen rummaging through and taking items that were set aside specifically for the Disabled American Vets (DAV). The donations, clearly labeled for pick-up by DAV, were intended to be collected on the morning of the incident. The suspect was initially spotted at the location at 6:38 AM and was seen taking some items. The individual returned a second time at 6:50 AM, at which point, she was seen collecting more items. Upon noticing the resident, the suspect fled in her car that was noticeably packed to the point where closing the trunk was not possible. The incident was reported at 7:22 AM on the same day.

Sonoma County Regional Parks crews are conducting pile burns at the Bouverie Wildflower Preserve and Sonoma Valley Regional Park for 12 days starting this week.
