Missing Petaluma Woman Found Alive and Well in San Francisco
A missing, elderly Petaluma woman has been found safe in San Francisco. Last Thursday morning, a resident walking his dog near his home in the Richmond District of San Francisco saw 64-year-old Valerie McCauley leaning against a wall of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He recognized her as the missing person reported out of Petaluma and contacted police. They confirmed she was in good health and released her, as she was an adult and did not appear to be physically or mentally suffering. McCauley has a history of disappearing and living in shelters for lengthy periods of time.
Two Citizens Help Stop Petaluma Store Thieves
Two citizens are being credited with helping detain two thieves at the Petaluma Outlets. Last Thursday afternoon, two suspects, later identified as Casey Canion and Keiarra Spencer, stole over $18,000 worth of merchandise from Sunglasses Hut and attempted to flee. After getting by a security guard, two men, a father and an adult son, saw the two fleeing towards them and intervened. They managed to physically stop them though Canion pepper sprayed one of the men in the eyes before being taken down to the ground. Police responded and arrested Canion and Spencer without further incident. The man who was pepper sprayed was treated by medics at the scene.

Semi Truck Causes Power Outage Thursday Afternoon in West Sonoma
PG&E quickly restored power to nearly 5,000 customers west of Sonoma after a semi truck crashed into a power pole. On Thursday around 4 PM, a semi trailer on Arnold Drive near Brocco’s Old Barn clipped a power pole while trying to make a delivery.
