Each of the four suspects is charged with attempted murder, discharging a firearm into a vehicle, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. A bond hearing for all four suspects is also scheduled for Thursday morning.

A Waffle House employee told WMBF News a fight involving over a dozen people broke out just before 2 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot near the restaurant and Comfort Suites in the area of Highway 17 - Hwy 501 interchange.

WMBF News spoke with a hotel employee who said he heard 10-14 gunshots.

Three cars were hit with bullets, including Gavin Caldwell, who was on vacation in Myrtle Beach with a group of his friends.

“I was really aggravated that my window got shot out because we’re not from here. We live like three, four hours away. So, not the best scenario to be in right now,” Caldwell said.

Renne Young, who is part of Caldwell’s group, said at first she thought the gunshots were fireworks until she went to the window and saw the shooting unfold.

“That’s just when I started tearing up and I was crying. I know we were far away, but it was still scary and my initial instinct was just panic and freak out and hide myself,” Young said.

As of 5 a.m. Thursday, authorities have not released where they detained the four charged, or if anyone was hurt in the shooting.

Myrtle Beach police said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
