No one was injured in a two-alarm fire at a home near St. John Regional Catholic School in north Frederick Friday afternoon, authorities said. The Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services responded to a report of a two-story home on fire in the 1900 block of Moran Drive around 2:32 p.m. Sarah Campbell, a Fire and Rescue spokeswoman, wrote in a text message on Friday.

In October 2023, Corporal Johnston of the Frederick Police Department's Tactical Investigations Unit began investigating Keith Lamar Wright. The investigation showed Wright's involvement in illegal drug trafficking in Frederick County, Maryland, including substances like crack cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and synthetic cannabinoids. After an extensive investigation into an August incident in the resort, the Ocean City Police Department Major Crimes Division charged Adrian Castaneda Sanchez, 38, of Pennsville, N.J., with two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree rape, third-degree sex offense, three counts of fourth-degree sexual contact and two counts of second-degree assault.
