SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — An Englewood man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Sarasota County on Thursday at 10:13 p.m. Troopers say the 22-year-old driver was traveling south on Manasota Key Road when he lost control of the vehicle during a right curve and drove off the road.

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) - Investigators are looking into the cause of a deadly crash involving a pedestrian in Manatee County. This happened in the 1900-block of 14th St. W around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Majority of Suncoast enters drought
SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The latest U.S. drought monitor shows most of Sarasota and Manatee County has moved into the level one drought category. The area of Manatee County that remains in the lower, very dry category is mostly north of the Manatee River. Some areas of Sarasota and Manatee County just east of the coastline and west of I-75 are not in a drought. All of Hardee and around 90% of DeSoto County are in the level one moderate drought category.
