On June 1, Muskogee Sheriffs Office responded to an animal neglect and abuse call.
The owner of the property had a verbal lease agreement with the occupants, when he came to the property he noticed several dead cows and called police.
When officers arrived, they found approximately 104 animal carcasses on the property.
103 of those were cattle and one was a dog.
Officers called a veterinarian and had to euthanize a calf, then transported it to OSU in Stillwater to determine if this was disease or malnourishment.
Muskogee County Commissioner, Kenny Payne and his crew are still in the process of burying the carcasses.
Officers arrested Lindsey Brashear on the scene, after she was interviewed by police.
Brashear is in the Muskogee County Jail with possible charges of animal cruelty.
This is an ongoing investigation and may uncover more suspects and additional charges.
Officers also impounded about 40 cows and 4 horses to a neighboring ranch.
The City of Muskogee assisted and impounded seven dogs and also recovered a stolen Kubota tractor.
