Know Good is far from the first time I’ve seen this happen, but it is the latest example of what is resonating with diners right now: a well-thought-out, affordably priced neighborhood spot. This one serves a tight menu of coffee, baked goods and creative sandwiches on homemade bagels. It opened in July, and a few months later there’s often a line stretching out the door.

Omaha-based crab restaurant to expand to Sioux Falls
A restaurant that specializes in crab and other seafood is expanding to Sioux Falls. Yummy Crab is leasing the former Fazoli’s at 4224 W. Empire Place. The restaurant’s menu features seafood by the pound or half-pound, including king crab, snow crab legs, Dungeness crab, shrimp, crawfish, clams and mussels. There also are fried seafood options, fried rice sides and appetizers such as crab cakes.

Last week, the fine folks at the Maha Music Festival announced that this year’s festival will be held August 8 at RiverFront Park/Heartland of America Park. “The countdown is on and the lineup drops soon,” said the message, which went out everywhere on social media. It’s almost too early to do sleuthing to figure out who will be on the lineup, and Maha may actually beat me to the punch if they’re serious about an imminent announcement. Last year they waited until March 19 to announce the lineup.
