MUNSTER, IND. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A Chicago man is charged in connection with the beating of a mentally disabled man in a Munster, Indiana fast food parking lot.

Dominique Jones, 28 faces battery charges after court records say witnesses saw him kick a man in the head and flee the scene.

Hospital records revealed the victim suffered from a neurological problem.

Surveillance video shows Jones and a woman arguing in a 2016 red Ford Fusion. A police affidavit reports the woman drove to a nearby fast food restaurant at 79-49 Calumet Avenue in Munster.

The footage shows the victim walking near them and Jones yelling.  According to the report, Jones then punched the man, knocking his glasses and hat off, and repeatedly stomped his head while the man lay unconscious on the ground.

Jones drove off. His first court appearance hasn't been set, because records say he's wanted on an arrest warrant.
