The Texas Department of Health and Human Services is warning Texans of a new phone scam that targets those Lone Star cards who receive SNAP and TANF benefits. According to Every Texan, formerly the Center for Public Policy Priorities, more than 3 million Texans rely on SNAP benefits to feed themselves and/or their families. Feeding Texas CEO Celia Cole speaks to KTLV's Lauren Tear about what people can do to be proactive and avoid the scam but also what they need to do if they fall victim to the call.
