Worth County over Crisp

Worth County 12 and under first baseman Bryson Brooks, with a cast on his right arm, leaps for a throw to record an out at first base against Crisp County Saturday afternoon at the Magnolia Sports Complex in Moultrie. His right hand mobilized with a cast from an earlier injury, Brooks still led off for the Rams and played center field before being moved to first. The Rams won 10-6 Saturday and will play Moultrie at 5:30 Monday to play Sumter County again for the District championship.

MOULTRIE — The Georgia Parks and Recreation District Three tournaments began Saturday in Moultrie and hundreds of people packed the Magnolia Sports Complex in Moultrie as teams from the area battled for the rights to play in the state tournament.

Sumter County looks to be in charge heading into Monday’s next round as the Sumter 8 and under machine pitch boys won 22-1 over Bainbridge to advance to finals against the winner of Bainbridge and Grady County Monday night.
