The Moulton baseball team defeated Knippa in the bi-district round and fell to Pettus in the regional quarterfinals
Moulton 15, Knippa 5
Trailing Knippa 4-3 midway through the fourth inning, the Bobkatz scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth and outscored Leakey 5-1 in the fifth frame for a 15-5 win in the first round May 11 in Pearsal.
Moulton led 2-0 after the first frame and each club scored a run in the third box before Leakey scored three in the top of the fourth to go up by one run.
Talon Darilek led Moulton at the plate with three hits, two runs and two doubles; Kaddin Tesch had a two-hit day and scored three runs; Tyler Siegel went 2-for-3 with three runs plated.
Landon Chaloupka pitched all five innings with five runs, six hits, four walks, one batter hit and five strikeouts.
