The Kittens softball team went 1-2 in recent games, getting their first district win
Schulenburg 20, Moulton 4
The Lady Shorthorns scored nine runs in the second inning to topple the Kittens 20-4 in Moulton on Friday.
The Kittens scored one r un in the bottom of the third to get within 11-2. Both teams scored two runs in the fourth inning to leave Schulenburg ahead 13-4.
The Lady Shorthorns then brought in five runs in the fifth inning.  Schulenburg scored four runs in the top of the first and Moulton scored one run in the bottom of the inning.
At the plate, Hope Kirkland got two hits and Audrey Swineford doubled. Addison Simper pitched; Mary-Claire O’Leary made four outs.

Moulton 20, Louise 7
Against Louise on the road on March 14, Moulton outscored the Lady Hornets 14-6 in the final three innings for a 20-7 win.
The Kittens took a 1-0 lead in the first frame, scored two runs in second and outscored Louise 3-1 in the third for a 6-1 lead. The Kittens led 11-2 after the fourth square and outscored Louise 5-2 in the fifth inning before scoring four runs in the sixth inning.
Simper got five of Moulton’s 10 hits; Valeria Pinedo scored five runs and Kitten runners had a total of 34 stolen bases.
Simper ceded seven hits on seven runs with two batters hit, five walks and eight strikeouts.
O’Leary made four putouts in the field.

Weimar 14, Moulton 4
After getting on top of Weimar, 3-2 in the first inning, Moulton fell to the Lady Wildcats 14-4. Weimar grabbed the lead 6-3 in the top of the third before scoring four runs in the fourth and fifth inning, plating one run in the fifth; outscoring Moulton 2-1 in the sixth and 1-0 in the seventh.
Araceli Vasque had two hits and a double with one run to lead Moulton at the plate. Simper worked seven innings with nine hits, 14 runs, three batters hit, seven walks and nine strikeouts. O’Leary had 10 putouts in the field.
