Logan Force of Montville voted Morris/Sussex Athlete of the Week

After four days of voting, Montville junior outfielder/pitcher Logan Force was selected as the Morris/Sussex Athlete of the Week.

Force went 3-for-7 with a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Montville's two NJSIAA North 1, Group 3 victories. He hit a walk-off RBI single to beat Mount Olive, 6-5, in a May 25 quarterfinal.

Liam Brandt

Mendham sophomore golfer

Brandt shot a 3-under 69 with five birdies to win the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference golf title on May 25. The Minutemen placed third.

Grace Gehm

St. Elizabeth junior midfielder

Gehm had three goals, an assist, 16 draw controls and four ground balls as St. Elizabeth defeated Kittatinny and Our Lady of Mercy.

Liam Kilmer

Mendham senior first singles

Kilmer won the Morris County Tournament first singles title on May 22, helping Mendham finish third as a team.

Tim LaRosa

Mendham senior attack

LaRosa had five goals and two assists and five ground balls as Mendham defeated Morristown Beard and Roxbury.

Tara Reilly

West Morris senior goalie

Reilly allowed nine goals and recorded 20 saves, including the 300th of her career, as West Morris defeated Ridge and West Milford.

Joe Sabbath

Pequannock senior pitcher/shortstop

Sabbath earned a save and a victory in the Golden Panthers' first two NJSIAA Tournament games. He pitched 1⅔ no-hit innings with four strikeouts in a 3-2 win against Kittatinny. The starter against Waldwick, he allowed five hits, a walk, and one earned run, striking out 12 in six innings of Pequannock's 6-4 victory.

Nick Shuhet

Mountain Lakes senior pitcher/outfielder

Shuhet was 5-for-7 with two doubles, a grand slam and another home run, three runs scored and seven RBI as the Lakers won two NJSIAA Tournament games. He also pitched a complete game, allowing 11 hits, two walks and six runs (three earned), striking out five, as Mountain Lakes defeated Hawthorne, 8-6, on May 25.
