Lightning struck late in Oklahoma City on Monday afternoon, figuratively and literally. In the bottom of the night inning, with two outs and two strikes, Tiare Jennings was at bat again with two runners on base. All season, she’s delivered when the Sooners needed her most. And once again, she made that happen, as with runners on first and third, she smoked a ball to right-center field for a two-RBI double. Jayda Coleman, who was intentionally walked, slid into home plate after running from first and let out an emphatic roar as the Sooners had finally gained the lead. It became clear once again, with their backs against the wall, the Sooners just will not go away.
