The following are local sporting events on Monday, Sept. 16

Cross Country

The Pierz Pioneers cross country boys and girls hosted the Rey Zimney Pioneer Stampede meet at the Pierz Golf Course Monday, Sept. 16th. The Little Falls Flyers and the Royalton Royals were also at the meet. The Pioneers girls varsity team finished in sixth place and the boys in seventh.

The Little Falls Flyers girls team placed second behind St. Cloud Cathedral. boys varsity team placed 14th.

The Royalton Royals varsity boys took 19th as a team. For the Royals girls, Chloe Reedy took sixth, finishing in 20:49.2. Kaylee Hoseisel placed 65th with a time of 25:03.6.

Volleyball

The Royalton Royals beat St. Cloud Tech on the road 0-3 (25-16, 25-23, 25-22).
