    Flyers boys soccer lose two straight games

    The Little Falls Flyers boys soccer team had a tough loss against St. Cloud Cathedral at home Tuesday, Sept. 10.

    St. Cloud Cathedral scored six goals against in the first half and capped it off with two more in the second. They also outshot the Flyers 16-4 and had a 50% conversion rate. The Flyers’ goalie Isaac Bell made seven shots in the game along with Anthony Morelos having one.

    The Flyers had a close game against St. John’s Prep Thursday, Sept. 5, only losing 4-5. The Flyers’ Cayden Neisen scored the team’s first first goal 10:46 left of the first half, with a penalty kick. Neisen scored again at 3:45, with the assist from Adrian Ambriz. At the end of the half, St. John’s was ahead 4-2.

    The Flyers didn’t answer to their opponent’s last goal in the second half until it was 9:06 left of the game when Neisen made a takeaway on defense and drove the ball in for the Flyers’ third goal. Dylan Inwards would score the Flyers’ last goal at 5:15.

    The Flyers had nine shots on goal while St. John had 10. Flyers’ Goalie Isaac Bell made fives saves.

    The Flyers traveled to take on Central Minnesota Christian Thursday Sept. 12. They will host Melrose Tuesday, Sept. 17.
