The following summaries are local volleyball games between Aug. 29 and Sept. 3, compiled by Nick Tabatt.

Bulldogs victorious after long battle against Osakis

The Swanville Bulldogs had a long game against Osakis Tuesday, Sept. 3. The Bulldogs lost the first two sets (23-25,19-25), But came back, winning three sets (27-25, 25-21, 15-10), beating Osakis 3-2.

The Bulldogs’ Lily Peterson led the team with 13 kills and 24 assists. Addison Hudalla came up with 11 kills and one block. Delaney Chuba was 21 of 22 for serving and had three aces. Avery Douglas went 33-33 on serves received and had 33 digs. Reese Jackson had 14 assists and 19 digs.

Royals win in four sets against B-EV

The Royalton Royals volleyball team took on Browerville-Eagle Valley on the road Tuesday, Sept. 3, winning in four sets (25-19, 25-9, 20-25 & 25-13).

Haylie Wolbeck had 28 kills and 28 digs in the game. Alise Schoenrock made four blocks, 18 digs, seven kills and four serve aces. Addison Schoenrock also had four blocks, along with five kills. Maddison Albright eight kills, 18 digs and four ace serves.

Upsala beats LP-GE; falls short to Pillager

The Upsala Cardinals volleyball team took on Long Prairie-Grey Eagle at home Tuesday, Sept. 3, defeating them in four sets (19-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-17).

The Cardinals’ Samantha Pilarski went 12-12 on serving, had one ace and 12 kills. Isabelle Ripplinger had six aces, eight kills and 14 digs. Zoey Leners went 8-8 in serving, two blocks and 18 kills. Hailie Luedke came up with two aces and 23 digs.

The Cardinals also took on Pillager on Thursday, Aug. 29, losing in three sets (21-25, 20-25, 21-25). Pilarski went 10-10 in serving with one ace serve, five kills and six set assists. Hailie Luedke went 13-13 in serving with an ace serve and 15 digs.
