Boston-bound JetBlue flight nearly collides on runway in Washington, D.C.
A Boston-bound JetBlue flight nearly collided with a Southwest Airlines flight on the runway at Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington D.C. Thursday morning, officials said. JetBlue Flight 1554 was beginning its takeoff roll on a runway at the airport when an air traffic controller instructed a Southwest Airlines flight heading to Orlando, Fla. to cross the runway, the FAA said in a statement. The near-miss occurred around 7:41 a.m. Thursday.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Health officials are warning College Park residents after a raccoon tested positive for rabies. According to the Prince George's County Health Department, the rabid animal was found in the 5200 block of Iroquois Street looking very ill and weak. The animal was captured by the Animal Services Division on Thursday, April 11.
