Kickoff Times and Networks Set for WVU-Duquesne, Backyard Brawl, WVU at Houston

Today, networks are announcing their slate of games for the first three weeks of the season. With WVU-Penn State already set for a 7:30 kickoff on NBC, where and when will the Mountaineers’ first two home games be aired?

Morgantown, WV – Earlier this morning, kickoff times and broadcast networks were announced for the first three weeks of College Football nationwide. West Virginia’s first game of the season against Penn State was given both several weeks back with a 7:30 slot on NBC. Today, the Mountaineers learned the times and networks for their first two home games of the 2023 season.

West Virginia will open up their home slate with their first ever meeting against Duquesne. When the Dukes come to Morgantown, the two sides will begin things at 6 p.m. The game will broadcast on ESPN+.

The Mountaineers then welcome arch-rival Pitt to town for the first time since 2011. In what will likely be a sold out Milan Puskar Stadium, the hatred will have to get started early. West Virginia and the Panthers will kick things off at 7:30 on ABC. With the game set to be a marquee matchup, it fits perfectly into this slot for a national television audience.

The kickoff time and network for WVU’s October 12th trip to Houston was also announced. Things will begin with the Cougars at 7:00 on FS1.
