One Million Dollar Donation Made During WVU's Day of Giving

A very generous donation made to WVU.

WVU's annual Day of Giving fundraiser event was an absolute hit. Luke Frazier made a generous one million dollar donation to the College of Creative Arts in memory of Christine Kefferstan.

New WVU Athletic Director Wren Baker and his wife, Heather, also made a generous donation of $100,000. In total, the event raised over $18.1 million on more than 8,200 gifts with nearly $2.1 million of that going to the WVU athletics program.

In the new age of college athletics, donations made to the university will greatly impact the school's ability to have and sustain success. Like it or not, name, image, and likeness is here to stay, and for West Virginia to remain competitive at the highest level, they will need the NIL pool to match the passion of the fan base.
