High school baseball playoffs ‘24: Beachside, Clay, Creekside, Union County win openers
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Four area teams made it through to the second round of the high school baseball state playoffs on the first of two nights in the postseason. Beachside, Clay, Creekside and Union County all won their first-round games to move on in the playoffs on Tuesday night. Teams in Class 2A, 3A and 4A — the heavyweight classifications that include teams like Bishop Snyder, Bolles, Episcopal, St. Johns Country Day and Trinity Christian — play their openers on Wednesday.

DAHLONEGA, GA (05/09/2024)– University of North Georgia (UNG) students who showed promise, demonstrated creativity, displayed excellence, served others and exceeded all expectations had their moment in the spotlight during the annual Student Honors and Awards Day on their campuses this spring. The ceremonies were held on April 9 in Dahlonega, April 10 in Gainesville and April 11 in Oconee.
