Thibodaux High School hosted an exciting talent and art show on Friday afternoon, showcasing the diverse talents of its students. In the talent show, Cullen Murillo and Hailey Jackson claimed first place, followed by Ella Allemand in second and Da'Myri Stepter in third. Meanwhile, in the art contest, Nyah Blanchard secured first place, with Milee Sellers taking second and Chloe Cunningham third. The event was made possible by the diligent efforts of the Key Club and Art Club, spearheaded by Mrs. Bolton and Mrs. Lewis. Special thanks were extended to the exceptional judges, Mrs. Chatman, Mr. Collin, and The Cajun Ninja.

Andrea Madise Henderson, 80, a native of Morgan City, Louisiana and resident of Breaux Bridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, in Lafayette.Visitation will held from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 415 Union St., Morgan City. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery-St. Anthony Catholic Section.Survivors include Deon (Trisha) Henderson of Breaux Bridge; two grandchildren; two brothers, Sidney (Irene) Madise Sr. of Mobile, Alabama, and Whitney (Marva) Madise of Laytonsville, Maryland; a godson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
