Domestic battery, marijuana arrests reported by Morgan City police

Morgan City police reported Monday arrests on domestic abuse battery and marijuana charges.

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 50 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Jarred Williams, 37, Laricella Street, Metairie, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of marijuana and speeding 75 mph a 60 mph zone.

--Christopher Buckhalter, 35, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested 8:09 p.m. Monday on charges of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment law) and domestic abuse battery.

--Brittany M. Roberson, 33, Adams Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. Monday on a charge of contempt of court (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Garrett A. White, 49, Maple Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:27 p.m. Monday on charges of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and failure to appear for arraignment (16th Judicial District Court).

--Breionne Dedrick, 29, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:24 p.m. Monday on a charge of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Roby Antonio Hernandez-Rios, 37, Cottonwood Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.

--Keisha Marie Malik, 48, River Road, Berwick, was arrested at 12:12 a.m. Tuesday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and improper lane usage.

Franklin

Interim Chief Tina Thibodeaux reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to nine complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:

--Stacey Grubb, 42, Iberia Street, Franklin, was arrested at 2:26 p.m. Monday on a charge of violations of a protective order. Grubb was additionally arrested on a 16th
Judicial District Court warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of theft (less than $1,000P. Grubb was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
