MOORESVILLE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — According to Duke Energy’s outage map, over 1,000 customers are without power in the Mooresville area and another 1,300 are without power near Denver.

Over 3,000 customers west of Mooresville first reported losing power just before 7 p.m., but Duke Energy workers were able to restore power to many after a few hours. Officials say something fell on the powerlines.
There is no word on when those remaining without power will get it back.
Just after 10 p.m., customers in the Westport community, west of Denver, reported losing power. Duke Energy says they anticipate power being restored after 2 a.m. on Sunday.
