Moore animal shelter closes due to virus outbreak

MOORE, Okla. (KFOR) –  Moore animal welfare shelter and adoption officials have confirmed it is closing the doors due to a contagious virus.

Animal welfare officials say the adoption center is no longer accepting strays brought in by the public or owner-surrendered pets until further notice.

According to the animal welfare, the virus is responsible for making hundreds of dogs sick.

Four dogs have died.
