MONTVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — The Montville Police Department is asking the public for help in locating a street bike operator who has repeatedly driven recklessly and evaded officers.

Over the course of several weeks, a handful of residents in the area of Raymond Hill Rd. have made multiple complaints to Montville police about a motorcycle operator driving recklessly in both directions.

Police say yesterday a black street-style bike was seen at 1:45 p.m. traveling 60 miles per hour along a curve on Raymond Hill Rd. when an officer attempted to follow them. The bike operator proceeded to evade the officer by increasing their speed and performing wheelies.

The driver later arrived at Rt. 32 traveling 80 miles per hour when a second officer attempted to stop them. The driver again disregarded police and continued driving recklessly.

Officials say the bike operator was wearing an all-black helmet, and a black leather jacket with orange writing across the chest.

Anyone with information about this driver can anonymously leave a tip by calling Montville police at 860-848-7510.
