March 15
6:56 a.m.: An adjoining agency contacted us, they had an officer on a stop with a subject that had a warrant out of our jurisdiction. A deputy met the arresting officer to pick up the subject on our warrant and transported the subject to Alpena County Jail.
6:03 p.m.: A deputy responded to a call in Albert Township where someone was shooting a gun and possible poaching happening; DNR was also notified. An investigation is ongoing.
March 16
6:57 a.m.: A subject that was sentenced to serve time for charges in Montmorency County was transported to Jackson Prison to serve time.
8:53 p.m.: Deputies responded along with Albert Township EMS to a residence in Lewiston; the subject there had filed a complaint with the department regarding a civil issue and a threat made towards the subject. All units cleared without incident and an investigation is ongoing.
March 17
12:41 p.m.: Dispatch was alerted to trees and tree limbs down in several areas around Briley Township; Tri-Township fire responded to the scene to remove the trees.
1:25 p.m.: A scam was reported to dispatch stated they were with Publishers Clearing House.
3:55 p.m.: Deputies responded to a verbal dispute in Hillman Township; prior to officer’s arrival the parties had calmed down and the deputy cleared without incident.
March 19
12:08 a.m.: Deputies responded to a car in the ditch on CO RD 489; the driver was found to have no insurance and cited for violation of basic speed law.
9:25 p.m.: A deputy responded to Avery Township for a complaint of an object flying over a residence. When the deputy arrived, the object was gone and unable to locate.
