Jasper County: Deputies investigate bomb threat reported at Ingles Supermarket

JASPER COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) -- A bomb threat was reported at Ingles Super Market in Monticello on Saturday.

In a social release, Jasper County deputies said a call came in to dispatch at 5:00 P.M. from an unidentified person who claimed to have planted a "pipe bomb" somewhere in the Super Market.
Deputies and First Responders worked to evacuate the store as well as nearby residential and business areas.
The Georgia Emergency Management Agency brought a bomb detection dog to work the scene, and they also helped clear the store.
According to law enforcement, no explosive devices were found and deputies are investigating those responsible for the threat.
